M was a well qualified and experienced professional who had recently been made redundant. His CV spoke for itself and
he was always called for interview. In his words, he 'blew it' at every interview. Having spoken to M on the telephone,
I was aware he was not representing himself well on the phone, and these vocal characteristics were also apparent when speaking
face to face.
We worked hard on a number of vocal skills as well as relaxation techniques. We focused on more positive body language,
eye contact and positive business behaviour. As M's confidence grew, he was called for another interview and I am delighted
to report that he has been offered a great new opportunity. Congratulations!
V asked me to help her deliver the 'elevator speech' that network meetings require. At the time V felt she was not effective
in this area of her business. We focused on relaxation techniques, posture and planning short, concise, themed speeches which
were delivered in an open, friendly manner. At the next meeting, other members commented on her progress and she was soon
receiving more referrals as a result. Well done!
